Good team performance, some great individual performances and a good result.
Wonder how much closer to City we would be had kept Fabinho and/or Henderson in midfield and played Phillips more often. He's not the best defender and doesn't suit our style of football but we lost too much moving both Fabinho and Henderson back.

Honestly I don't see the hype, granted am basing it off probably 6 games I've seen him but he looks like a luxury player already in sense that when he wants to play he will but won't work off the ball and offers nothing when he is like that. Totally not what Klopp would ever want

He's been quality off the ball when Arsenal have been on song, I could see him replacing Gini really well
Honestly, I don't understand why you have that front 4 only to stick them all behind the ball.
That's the most complete performance from us in a very long time. Everybody played well but Fabinho and Thiago were outstanding and controlled the game from start to finish, protecting our defence and allowing us to sustain pressure in attack. We weren't massively creative but the goal(s) felt inevitable with all the pressure we were putting Arsenal under.
Jota's goalscoring form is just unreal - he looked a decent player at Wolves but never showed the end product he's shown for us. He could have had his hattrick had the ref not took pitty on Arsenal right at the end - I've no ida how that wasn't a penalty when Gabriel was ragdolling Salah right in front of the ref's eyes. Even taking into account that refs don't like giving pens when strikers try to stay up, it was so blatant!

There isnt a lot he can do when Arteta literally sets you out to play like bloody Stoke.

Neville summed it up. Pires Henry etc barely had to track back because our back 5 did its job.
Our back 5 couldn't deflect cotton wool not going behind our goal.
