Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [4th - 6th March 2023]

Fighting for their survival, winning against the league leaders away from home. 6 mins of extra time, Arsenal scored in the 7th.

That's why.
They wasted a lot of time and got what they deserved.

They did play decent but there goals where smash and grab and where totally outplayed throughout the match.

On a good day, arsenal would have won this 5:2 easily

No surprises with that result. Like others have said though I would love to know what’s wrong with Wilson. If he wasn’t fit Howe wouldn’t play him.

As others have said, its a minimum of x minutes added on. Wasting time in added time should add more time.

Lets be fair, that was blind luck to put that in. Not an easy chance to take and he just hits it perfectly. I imagine the xG for that was absolutely tiny.

Probably fair based on the handball that was ignored earlier. Not quite sure how that wasn't a penalty.

I can only imagine how mad all the Arsenal fans went when that went in.

Very positive mood for today, speaking to my stepdad and he said 'well at least we wouldn't give up and lose 5-0', incredible expectations :D

(Going to be rather funny/sad when that does happen)

United/Liverpool game is a toss up. Liverpool aren't that bad this season. They are just a bit crap compared to their ridiculous peak of recent times. They are plenty good enough to get a good result against anyone. They are also fragile and can be got at. Should be an interesting game at any rate.

Think United will have too much for them tbh. Pool's midfield is made of mashed potato this season. Casemiro will dominate I feel and then the defensive frailties will show against Marcus the man Rashford.

No, they genuinely are *that bad* out of possession. Majority of games Liverpool have won they have conceded some ridiculous chances the other team has just failed to convert. They should’ve lost to 10 men Newcastle.
(Same can be said of Liverpool failing to convert but quality of chances you get vs Liverpool are insane)

You’re right they can show up offensively and maybe make a game of it but unless manu **** the bed in front of goal it should be a win. Or at least get 3 goals

Right side of defence will be humiliated unless a city level performance comes out of no where

Definitely feel like it's a toss up...but definitely advantage Utd if Maguire isn't on the pitch. Possibly our attacking quality will embarrass their shaky defence....but not counting on it.
