Happy for him, hope he tears it up.

Still don't agree with us letting him go and nor giving him chances but it's been debated enough.

I hope he does well and gets all the minutes he deserves

Indeed :D That was a funny comment from Klopp. No legends of the game have ever been short have they...
I'm pretty sure Minamino won't ever be considered a legend of the game. The point Klopp was making is that while we're without the likes of VVD etc, we're a small side as it is and it's difficult to make a change that will make us even smaller and weaker in the air, especially vs Burnley and West Ham. Had Minamino been such a game changer then it would have been an easier decision to make but he's not.

Minamino is average height for a wide player I would have thought. Same height as Salah and Mane and plenty of other wide players in the league.

Not sure his height really had anything to do with loaning him out though. The lad just didn’t look that convincing whenever he played.

You can talk about needing a run of games or whatever but Jota came in and set the ground running despite a relatively poor year at Wolves.

Edit: speaking of Jota, has anyone seen his ultimate team performance

Is there a better set piece taker than Ward-Prowse in world football? Messi aside. Seems to score more free kicks than he misses :p

Hopefully he makes me look stupid by pulling off some worldy but Redmond is playing dreadfully again, constant dead end runs into nowhere and then lose the ball before even attempting a pass/cross

If he was as good as Salah or Mane then it might be a different situation but he's not and he wasn't being picked as a wide player or in place of either of those. His chances to play did or would have come in place of Firmino. Had we had 2 proper CB's + Henderson and Fabinho in midfield then his size isn't a consideration because you've got enough height in the side to deal with set-plays. When your CB's are Phillip's & Henderson and you have a midfield 3 of Shaq, Gini & Thiago, if you then replace Firmino (probably our 2nd best player in the air in that line-up) with Minamino you're going to leave yourself massively at risk when defending set-plays.

It's a case of weighing up the positives he might bring in attack vs the added risk when defending set-plays etc. Klopp quite clearly didn't think Minamino would bring enough to the side to justify taking that extra risk and it's not that difficult to see why. 99% of the time when he's played the game's just passed him by without him influencing it in anyway.
