I'm not sure what was worse, Gary Neville spending the opening 5 minutes of the match bemoaning the fact that Utd are having to make do with a £70m CB pairing while we're lining up with Phillips & Williams or that VAR call. Actually it's easy, it's the var call. When Gary Neville is saying Liverpool should have a pen vs Utd then you know it's a pen. Like it or not, you cannot just clatter into the opposition player with your follow through and get away with it these days so for VAR to decide that was clearly wrong was a complete joke. Vs Sheffield Utd we had a pen given against us when Fabinho tripped the opposition player with his follow through, in a far lighter way but no doubt the PGMOL will make up some bs to cover the mistake again.
Other than the first 15 mins we've played fairly well but our back line is a constant worry. We're going to have to score again because I can't see us not giving up a few chances in the 2nd half.
