Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [12th - 22nd January 2024]

Nah, they’ve got to play Spurs away eventually. I think they’ll only manage a 13 game winning streak. :p

We've been dung for the first 15 mins.

Oh, we've scored but I swear there was an offside in there.

What on earth were VAR doing there? They've seemingly given the offside for the first phase but decided to spend 2 minutes looking at what happened after before giving the offside

I think this sums up VAR now really.

The recent non VAR cup games for me showed that the game really is better off without it.

That's true but this was just odd. There's loads of issues with VAR when it's used properly but when they've already decided that there was an offside, why then take 2 minutes looking at what happened after? I can only think the refs hate VAR now too so they're making it worse in the hope it gets scrapped.

Ratcliffe at the game today as anticipated, been sneakily talking to the press in the media room :p
