Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [14th - 19th February 2025]

Should have been a foul before the peno, clear push in the back. Again var favouring the big clubs
Didn't know Everton were a big club

The Wolves player didn't even appeal for a foul so maybe he didn't think it was himself.

Hanging his leg? His front leg nudges the ball forward, and Sa goes into it a moment later. How on earth was he meant to move it at that point?
By actually taking his next step than dragging his leg lol

It’s the rules we play within right now, nice for us to actually realise it and play for it but it’s ass

He didn't have time to take another step - his front leg, which he'd touched the ball with, was on the way down to the ground to plant, because that's how people run - the keeper went through (admittedly gently) that leg Unless you're expecting him to start hopping, I'm not sure what you want him to do

I want him to do what he did, we got a penalty lol :D

23 league goals in 25 league games (and 14 assists to boot), I mean...you cant really ask more of a forward than that
We can ask him to stay! So we can ask more haha.

He is by far the hardest to replace. Only positive is one thing as a club we have mostly got right is signing forwards over the decades so maybe we strike gold on his replacement...one can hope

Every player in World football would do what Diaz did, keeper flying out, nowhere near the ball. They are given 99/100 times.

Haha I know, but I'm just perplexed by the suggestion that he was in any way hanging a leg. That gets thrown around so often and most of the time it's just a player moving naturally.

While Hooper hasn’t been anywhere near as bad as Oliver this feels like a game he’s been asked to favour us, to even things up, after midweek.

Edit: i like the fact Slot’s more proactive that Klopp, no doubt Konate would’ve been given another 15 minutes to get a second yellow if Klopp was still here. Maybe his man management style vs Slots tendency to happily sacrifice players for the good of the team.
