Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [17th - 21st February 2024]

What a shambles. Two goals in 7 minutes and you think "finally, I game where we bang in 4 or 5 and I can actually enjoy it", but of course they revert to type.
You're acting like other teams have done that. Most of the big teams have struggled here. Newcastle didn't win here, Liverpool didn't. Arsenal, Chelsea and City all won by one goal.

Just looking at previous games both Arsenal (90+7 Declan rice winner) and City struggled here so maybe it isn't as bad as we thought.

We need to score though as no way are we going through an entire half without conceding. Although looking at our back 4 now with both Shaw and Martinez missing I think a draw would be good going.

Luke Shaw injured again. Why is he even starting?
Stupid decision from ten Hag really. He said in the presser he was doubtful so I can't see why you would start him. EtH is well known for not straying far from his best 11. Was same at Ajax.
Anyhoo, as I didn't see the goals I can only summarise that half as sub standard. Other than Mainoo and maybe Dalot they all need a kick up the arse. I would sub Rashford at half time. Back to the terrible attitude from him.

Luton's goal was a luck deflection then it was pretty much one way traffic after that. As always no mentality in the players.

I didn't doubt that we'd struggle, but more Onana flapping, Maguire lazy passes, aimless Rashford are all right back out there. You'd hope after such a good (albeit, fortunate) start and some good recent results, that finally something has clicked and it's a page turned.

Rashford is not offering anything, sadly.

His body language is all wrong.

If he doesn't want to play for the club, let him go.

He's been great over the years, but, yeh, heart is not with this Man U side now.
