Long Ball FC 0-3 Liverpool

**** manager, prehistoric tactics, **** support and dog **** songs. Boooooooo!

Phillips deserved his MOTM, dominated Woods in the air and generally played very well. Zaha will be a far tougher prospect though!

That'll do nicely. I've given Phillips a lot of **** this season but he was very good today and not just because he scored. He's at home vs teams like Burnley and if we are to have a 5th senior CB next season then I'd rather we kept him than signed Kabak.

Now onto Palace. Benteke & Zaha vs Williams might be the end of me!

Agree. Against teams like Burnley he'd currently be third choice behind VVD and Matip for me. Gomez has taken a bit of a battering in these type of games and isn't great in the air. Hopefully we sign a CB that has the speed of Gomez and the aerial ability of Phillips though.

I'd only keep him as 5th choice. If he's 4th choice next season I'll be terrified. All the talk is Konate is coming and he ticks all the boxes in terms of size, speed & strength.

I'd rather have Phillips 4th choice then Matip. VVD,Gomez, Phillips and Konate is what I think our defence will be next season

That OG from Reguilon was something else

Stunning goal eh! He was completely responsible for the second as well wasn't he. Tried to clear it twice and failed twice.

How Liverpool have ended up almost guaranteed to get top 4 is beyond me. Looked miles off and then all the other teams way ahead of them have just fallen off a cliff.

Isnt it 9 wins and 2 draws in 11 games? That's quite some form tbf

It's because their fixtures were front-loaded in terms of difficulty (i.e. very easy run-in). A couple of months ago I put a bet on Liverpool to finish top 4 at 3.75, because I expected them to make up ground.

Think it might be 7 wins, 2 draws in the league. Its good form but that shows you just how much ground they have recovered and how bad the other teams above them have been. I was sure they would be competing for EL at best as I couldn't see Leicester dropping enough points to let them back into the top 4.

I think Klopp realising that playing CB's at CB and Fabhino in Midfield was what turned it around :p.

Not beating 10-man Soton and losing at home to Newcastle might ultimately cost us.

Hoping Villa or Palace do us a favour on Sunday, as long as we beat Spurs.

Best case scenario is Chelsea winning Champions league but losing on last day of the season. All 5 get in then.

Not sure I want as many english teams in the CL as possible. I really couldn't care less about this years final because its just another league game.

As much as I hate City and Chelsea having a greater representation of English teams is always good for English football.

Meh, I don't really care about City of Chelsea honestly. They are what they are and life goes on. I just love the CL because its a clash of countries and styles and watching games that you will maybe not see for another 5 years. Watching 2 teams you have already seen play each other 3-4 times in the season is just sad when its supposed to be the pinnacle of European club football going for glory.

I've seen a few people mention this now and it's almost as if they've forgotten that Fabinho was playing CB pretty much the entire season, including the first half of the season where we were comfortably in the top 4 spots

In fact that run of games when we lost 6 in 7, which saw us drop out of the top 4 spots, Fabinho was only available for 2 of them (vs City (which he wasn't even fit for) & Chelsea)
