Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [18th - 21st August 2023]

An interesting opening 10 minutes aside, I thought we played pretty well. Even down to 10 men we not just controlled the game but were able to keep creating chances and could have easily won by a few more. Diaz and Szobo were both outstanding.

You'd hope we could appeal the Mac Allister suspension but you never know what you're going to get with the PGMOL and FA. You always get some wild decisions at the start of seasons but just like the Wolves penalty appeal last week, how does VAR look at that and not say it's a mistake?

Much better performance in the second half and even better after going down to 10 men, Szoboszlai is an absolutely incredible talent.

Slightly worrying Klopp chose to stick with the same team and formation after last weekend but Bournemouth had more than enough chances to score a few more, especially in the first half. I'm not convinced a holding midfielder fixes any of the problems with this formation.

Hopefully Gary gets his red overturned but concerned about the injuries to Trent and Diaz.

Didnt Konate get a foot in his chest from a flying Chelsea player just last week and he didnt get sent off?

Tierney shouldn't be anywhere near a Liverpool game. Klopp has previous with him and well you can see why.

That red card is just ridiculous. Some things in the modern game just spoil it.

Maguire not even in the squad and they name 2 keepers on the bench instead? Is he injured or just well and truly alienated now?
