Just replace clearing the ball with shooting the ball and you'll see how ridiculous that decision is. I'm guessing you don't think it's alright for a defender to stick his leg between a striker and an attempt on goal. That's a foul against the striker. It's no different for defenders attempting to clear the ball. It was a foul on Phillips. Howard Webb will admit the mistake when he does his review thing.

Everton haven't won a game since mid December, had points deducted and still won't be relegated come end of the season, ***** league.

Mainoo operating at a level above most of this lot which is a sad indictment. On the balance of play and chances we should be behind. On two occasions at least Hojlund has had good runs totally ignored by Rashford who has preferred to check out and slow the game up. No sign of partnership at all. Will be a long night.
