Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [5th - 6th October 2024]

Kelleher is only out with illness at least, he's going to have to really stand up, more than ever now, over the coming weeks and show why he should be a no.1 at a Premier League side

Watching on Sky and TNT would be so much nicer if their commentators and pundits had any idea of the rules. They spent 10 minutes talking about a so called penalty that will never be given as a penalty for about 5 years.

First 60 mins or so we played well enough but lacked a bit of urgency in attack and failing to get that 2nd goal made the end of the game trickier than it needed to be. For all the praise Jota gets and talk about his finishing whenever any of our other forwards miss a chance, he misses as many as all the others.

Hopefully Allison's injury is just a couple of weeks. I've never known a keeper to pick up muscle injuries as often as he does - surely it's proof that religion doesn't work.

Have you seen the Arsenal lineup? Bizarre.

Looks like Arteta has realised he's playing Southampton so put twice as many attacking players on as usual to get the goal difference stats up a bit

Arsenal should be disappointed if they don't break the 9-0 record with Sterling, Saka, Havertz and Jesus all playing when Southampton are lining up with Manning in the first 11.

How bad is Southampton?

So bad you've got to start wondering if the manager is actively trying to be bad at this point

Edit - BBC Stats must be broken because it seems to be showing that after 25 minutes, Arsenal haven't actually managed a shot on target, nevermind scored? That can't be right? :p
