Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [7th - 8th October 2023]

Spurs Squad is thin but they only play once a week until January when the FA cup 3rd round. So they have that going for them.

Body language of Rashford is really troubling. Surely ten Hag has to bring Nacho on now.

Mount utterly trash today. Ten Had signings Onana, Mount, Antony. ?????

The Glazers are the main issue but he really hasn’t helped himself with these signings.

It doesn’t help that they’ve vastly over paid for them as well.

Martial, who they’ve tried to get rid of, don’t want etc is away to come on.

Evans (nothing wrong with him, he’s a good pro but shouldn’t really be playing for Man Utd at this stage of the game) and Maguire at the CB is just crazy at this stage.

Jose was right when he said utd getting 2nd with was it 83pts? Was an achievement they can barely manage 8pts over a few games atm long may it continue

Getting any points with the makeshift back 4 is going to be a tall order.

We are completely broken. Getting rid of ETH isn't going to do anything. Only problem is how long will people let it go. Arsenal finished 8th twice under Arteta and now they look solid.

The problem is ETH overachieved in his first season that the second the fans expect the world whilst we are deep trouble all over really.

Tim Sherwood asked a good question last week, who has Ten Hag improved since he took over ?
I've been asking that season long with nothing but radio silence. Out of time. He will go and Sancho will be back in the squad. Fresh start and all that jazz. How many of these players would even make the bench of the good united sides of the 90's and early 2000's. None. Luke Shaw would be ball boy.

This might be the worst I've seen United play in a very long time.

There have been worse performances, but the general mood around the club is pretty tragic.

Yes, injuries and off-pitch distractions don't help, but the players don't look like they've been coached, don't look like they care...

ETH was wrongly given full authority over signings (something he wanted in order to take the job), so he's got to shoulder some blame here too. Antony cost a fortune and has been poor and seems a dodgy character off the pitch, Onana was also very expensive looks like an outfield player in goal...

Sancho is garbage as well though? Would he even be playing if he didn’t fall out with ETH?
