What are your opinions on him saying that he will go down in the best manner to protect himself from challenges?

I have a huge amount of respect for him admitting that he sometimes goes down without contact but that is an effort to protect himself. He does get clattered and tripped and that is dangerous when running at the pace he runs at. He doesn't get up and scream at the ref when things dont go his way either.

Also it must be infuriating to be constantly fouled by players who want to stop him playing.

I don't know what to think, punishments aren't equal in football for respective cheating (foul/dive/time wasting) so I can't really make a judgement.

The thing is, the times he has 'dived' to protect himself vs us there was never going to be contact from Agger on both occasions, so I don't really buy it.

As for your last point yes, players are constantly fouled and not given freekicks/penalties, like I said earlier, you get your shot away and clattered after = no penalty. Football rules are dumb.

It might be rose tinted glasses but i think he does do something like that. He goes down and gets up. He doesn't look at the ref or assistant imploringly or start screaming; I can see this is not as active as getting up and wagging his finger but it is something.
 
I can only assume Merson has got a regular position on Soccer Saturday because Sky want to educate their viewers of the dangers of substance abuse.

Dominated Southhampton easily haven't done a thing wrong except we havent scored enough goals should be 3-0 at least just our finishing as always.

Owners really messed up for Rodgers need 2 Strikers in Jan that are proven hell even a poacher like Hernandez would finish half our chances

The owners? I think you'll find it was Rodgers that messed up or so Demento said last week. Imagine how far up the table we would be if we had kept the 1 goal wonder Carroll :cool:

Sure owners will of had some part in it since you know they hold the money :P

Rate Carroll is going at WH i doubt even they will keep him, Be another Cole who we will struggle to move on
 
God I love American commentators/analysis so much more, so much less biased and stupid(although not hard). UK is seriously embarrassing, particularly in football in punditry/commentary, the only one who is good is Gary Neville.

Nob as a player, but didn't do anything most LFC fans would do the other way around. Incredibly impartial as a pundit and interesting and not scared to have a different opinion. Knew when to retire and a good professional, not much you can complain about.

The opposite of this being Gary Linekar who is the most sarcastic, negative and bitter pundit I have seen i.e. the complete opposite to his playing personna

Fully agree, Maybe we will get better pundits when more players retire
