Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [11th - 16th August 2017]

You can see that Liverpool are using the pace in their side to play a direct aggressive game.

Give them their dues it is good entertainment. With the signings they have made and the likely loss of Coutinho I don't expect much to change in midfield when they meet sides that are happy to dig in against them.

Watford's manager must be blazing. He likes his sides to set up with a strong, organized defence and his players have capitulated at the back.

Liverpool have to be given credit for going behind twice and coming back to take the lead. They are really a reflection of their manager.

I think they need someone in midfield to orchestrate things, a Michael Carrick type player if you will. I don't think it is their defence that is particularly bad, I think the play style of having a front 3 that attack with pace is what leaves gaps for the opposition to exploit.

Henderson gets a lot of stick for being a bit of a work horse but he has a tremendous task of filling those gaps when the attackers are marauding forward.
