Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [11th - 16th August 2017]

More like a cup final than the opening game of the season. No where near good enough at the back, not a performance to be proud of, but a good result overall.

He tried to move it out of the way as it got quite close imo.

Ofc I'd rather he gave handball and then two footed giroud but football is back, what a day, cant wait to be done for the year tomorrow

Indeed defensively we are a mess at the back. If Kos or Mustafi get injured long term, we are truly ******.

Think we need to bring in at least 1 or 2 decent cb's before the window closes.

If todays game is anything to go by, Lacazette will be an quality signing, he looked superb, i couldn't have been more wrong about him, good.

I liked what I saw of him so far, same with Kolasinac...made a few mistakes but seeing as our back 3 were a mess ie no Kos and Mustafi. Think he did pretty well but still needs a bit more time to settle in. Yes he was at fault for the second Leicester goal but otherwise he was pretty solid.

Lacazette will get better as he adjusts to the PL but his first goal was pretty damn good. Thank god for Giroud, I've been a huge critic of him but as a super sub he is brilliant.

I love Giroud as a player, he's never going to go past 2 or 3 players but he's got excellent technique & teamwork, not a bad head on him either..

Very solid...literally at fault for a goal but ai he was sound. ;)
