Decent first half from us. With a better ref we'd have been 2-0 up and Sunderland would have been down to 9 men; the softest of fouls given against Carroll which ruled out his goal, Richardson was a straight forward red (Suarez was rounding the keeper and would have had an open goal) and Cattermole some how didn't even give away a free-kick when he slid in studs up on Adam (and subsequently got booked for going through the back of Suarez).
Enjoying the Wolves match; but as shaky and inconsistent as ever.
Pluses are that there seems to be an element of confidence in particular players and the team as a whole, just need to get consistency and stronger defending decisiveness.
Sunderland are here for the taking today and should be 2 or 3 down but I think they've also got a goal in the them so we don't want to give them any time on the ball and allow them to get back in the game. Must be more clinical in the second half.
Stunning performance so far, Everton up 5-0, hat trick from Becks, Cahill with a brilliant header and Baines from a free kick. Great start to the season.

Yeah, went to get a drink when 4 of the games went to half time, came back and it was at 51mins in that game..... assume someone was down injured for a really long time or something. Oh, Dyer, keep forgetting who he plays for, was the 5 mins all for Dyer being down, or other stuff aswell?
Be very surprised if someone doesn't get sent off this half. Richardson should already be off, Cattermole's pushing his luck and Carragher made a very late studs up challenge and is on a yellow.
Good chance for Gyan there.. think we need to get someone with height on tho.. we seem to be getting more crosses in now but no one can get on the end of them..
