No point sending him off for diving if the refs bottle every decision like that later in the season like they did last year. Hope all diving is treated the same this year and dealt with.

Nicely done from Barton to be honest. Any other player dives or does down easily and nothing gets said what so ever. And because Barton is a hard lad everyone will lay into him now. Gervinho should have 2 yellows for diving so should be off any way, never mind pushing Barton in the face.

I really doubt it...today our defence has been solid its our offense that im now worried about...we are going to miss Fabergas and Nasri big time this season...

I find diving far more repulsive than handbags and players grabbing each other. Worst part of the sport

Yeh but with Gerv red carded (was it a straight red for striking barton?) which would mean 3 games out, he might haul in some new attacking players. Though Mata is just a pipe dream at the moment .
