Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13th - 16th April 2012]

Im going down to our game at home agaisnt Bristol City. To be honest all games left are difficult now. The teams you should be winning agaisnt never end how you want to, so until we are mathematically safe in the playoffs it's going to be a battle. With Bristol City fighting to stay in the league it's gonna be a nervy game, especially if it stays 0-0 near the later stages of the game. On a positive note Birmingham are letting kids in for just £1 so should be a cracking atmosphere !!!!

oh yeah hate it when that happens.....

:o

Haha cold light of day is a good reminder we got away with one or two like that this season.

Have to ask.. what exactly was wrong with the ref?

Basically gave everything to Reading, throw ins the wrong way on repeat, numerous "dives" against us from Lambert and Sharp, which was embarrassing as they are both strong lads and really shouldn't have to put up with CB's standing on their backs to win the ball.

Plus he wouldn't book Jason Roberts for the same thing on our tiny right back.

Wasn't impressed that it got to a point where he was just going to give Reading everything.

Has happened at St Marys a few times this season (Brighton being the worst) where the assumption by the ref is that a team that plays decent possession football doesn't deserve and protection from physical play

My forgotten even more of a joke decision was not to send Chaplow off in the first half (he's a liability in our squad anyway) but he should have been off for sliding in on Federichi when he clearly had lost control of the ball already, so sliding in and getting the keeper on the head was just flat out dangerous. Just so many "letting the game flow" decisions that did anything but that.

Over the rage now, just have to accept it and look to win the final 3 games.

Would be nice to have Southampton back in the EPL (given I was born about 20 minutes drive outside the city centre), but will be doubly chuffed if its Reading as well - I just hope its not too much of a rude awakening for them next season (not sure how much good it does a club bobbing up and down between the leagues season after season)

Hope Southampton get second. Really want west ham to fail to get promoted. For some reason I have just never liked them in fact I hate them :p a hatred compounded when they got relegated (think it was against Liverpool) and there was deranged cockney on SSN screaming they were one of the top 5 biggest clubs in England and should be top 4 not bottom 3, trolololololol deluded!

Considering where southampton were a few years ago, id take what comes with a smile, top end of the champ with everything going for you sure beats out of existance.

You'll do well enough next year if you go up, reading are an inspired side... passion plays it's part, but smell the roses, more good than bad:)

My own forest pull 3 today against blackpool, should see us safe as... tough one though, feeling phillips will mug us with a goal against.

maybe a draw, stays sunny im sure reid and co will be up for it.

I thought Chaplow was going to go for that too to be honest. Plus his handball a couple of minutes later seemed potentially intentional. Then also kicking the ball into the crowd after the goal, what a fool

Big games in League One today. We've got Notts. Co. at home. Biggest game in 6 years at the club, and biggest league game (non-play-offs) since we played Reading for promotion TEN years ago .

We win and we should jump into the play-offs - assuming Carlisle struggle at Charlton, which no doubt they'll end up winning... Then massive games against Stevenage and Sheff Weds. Absolutely cracking end to the season for the four clubs going for that last play-off spot!

Hmmm got Wigan at home on Mon night, id like to think we will smash them to pieces but having seen them play the last 2 games ie Chelsea and Utd...i think they are going to give us a run for our money. We really cant afford to lose or drop points against relegation bound teams but i wont be a happy bunny if we drop points to Wigan.

Also coupled with the fact that Koscielny is out due to his yellow cards, looks like we will have to rely on Djourou yet again :/. Verm and Kos have become quite a pairing in our defence this season. Hopefully 'Glass' Gibbs:p will be back fit and ready, cant really rely on Santos as much as i like him but hes a bit of a liability as lb.

QPR did you, granted it was away but playing relegation candidates at this time of season is like playing Barca :p

I hate it when big games are on ESPN especially big international and cup games. I never realized today's game was on ESPN.

Not got a good feeling about today, we may be able to beat them in terms of work rate, but the difference in quality of our players is really going to hurt us today.

Unlucky Pilkington, sadly that sums us up really, we can create brilliant chances against the good teams but we always waste them..

EDIT: Ooh, we got away with that one there, should have been a penalty but instead Tevez gets a yellow for a dive..
