Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13th - 19th April 2018]

I hope we can build on that second half performance against Man City. I think we hit rock bottom against Sevilla and the next few games will show whether there's a future for much of our squad and indeed Mourinho himself (though I doubt he'll leave anyway).

Was a pretty straightforward win on reflection, we didn't really look like the underdogs apart from a few small passages of play.

Given the state of Newcastle's squad it's a miracle they're not right in the middle of a relegation battle if not already down.

What does that say about Arsenal? Very poor today. Beaten by a championship side. To be fair we wanted it more and were more clinical, Arsenal were very wasteful.

Looks like Man City 2nd half was a one off and we're back to playing the same slow, undynamic way again. Pogba ambling around the pitch and West Brom even having a clear shot too.

It is mad that if a defender handles the ball to stop a goal it's a red but if an attacker handles the ball to score a goal it's only a yellow.

United looking very unbalanced. So much play being funnelled left making it easy for WBA to defend. I don't understand why anyone thinks that Sanchez and Mata is ever going to be a good combination. Much prefer Lingard to Mata these days.

no

one is stopping a goal therefore if it was only a yellow more players would exploit it other goal won't count and yellow so it's balanced
