I think it's fair enough to have RvP and Kagawa on the bench to start with (they may have a couple of slight niggles/be tired from the internationals).

If we do have any issues Welbeck and Hernandez will have to step up to the mark, it will be interesting to see if they cause the defence many problems, or more likely, have a session of constantly running offside and messing up simple chances.
 
Tom they're not comparable at all.

Chelsea have kept faith with Torres through a poor run of form, they've signed players and adapted their formation to help him.

Fergie benched the top scorer of the premier league for almost an entire season in favour of an average at best youngster. Then sold him for a cut price deal.

I have to agree, I've seen nothing from Welbeck that would suggest he would ever possess the ability of Berbatov.

He needed more of a chance (recently), and changes should have been made to facilitate him, and his style. You can't just decide to not use him because he doesn't run around enough, exploit his qualities and make the most of him.
