Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [15th - 18th March 2019]

Not a good finish, needs a goal soon like Mane needed one a few months ago.

Edit: Those left foot curlers in to the top corner were his staple last season, can't remember the last time he scored one.

When does Klopp get the courage to drop Salah.

Just not producing at the moment.

Worst half of football we've played for a long time but a win's a win.

The fact Fulham made us look silly for much of the half doesn't bode well, they walked through our midfield and got in behind TAA repeatedly. Not sure how we allow it for so long before anything's done about it.

Fabinho getting a nonsense yellow definitely impacted us I think

Liverpool are top of the league and 15 points clear of Tottenham in third. They've also just beaten Bayern Munich away to reach the quarter finals of the Champions League, I think Klopp knows what he's doing. Salah is working hard and I'm sure his goal scoring touch will return, hopefully in time to clinch the Premier League title.

Yeah, he looked scared to put his foot in after the break but he's almost as good in an advanced roll so we could've switch him and Gini.

He just needs the goal. He's still creating a lot for his teammates but that goal is making him more selfish than usual.

I was working today. Had the choice of staying where I was and watching the game on my ipad or driving home and missing the first 10 mins or so. Decided to drive home and got caught in traffic, ended up missing all but the last 10 minutes - sounds like I made the right decision. All the matters at this stage of the season is the result though.

I don’t think Salah is much more greedy, he basically tries to dribble to create more as he’s usually talented at it before offloading the ball. Him failing is highlighting it more so and less of a greed thing, he’s not going to get the ability back from shying away from it

IMO we overplayed looking for the second goal. We pushed up higher and higher and they were able to catch us on the break and had men over a number of times in quick succession. It was only Salah tracking back the second time that prevented them having an easy chance on goal. As soon as they scored they appeared to sit back and try and defend the point and it cost them.

Having said that, 9 times out of 10 a team plays that open against us we smash them so it can just be put down to having an off day in front of goal.

Fair play Liverpool, doing what champions need to do and getting a result even when they aren't playing well.

This might go down like a lead balloon, but I just don't get the Alisson hype. Massively overrated imo. His distribution always looks terrible under pressure, he seems erratic and always looking like he has a mistake in him and he concedes some strange goals. He makes some world class saves every now and then (like every keeper) and suddenly everything else is forgotten. Just don't get it

He's flattered by a fantastic defence consisting of the worlds best defender (by a massive margin). Stick him in the United team and he'd be shown up with our shocking defense

While I think he is an upgrade over karius and mignolet. Jury still out for me.

Was VVD not shouting for Alisson to claim it, reckon he should have come out quicker.

Alisson being out quicker would've still required VVD to head it which you can't come too close as you see often enough it being played past the goalie imo

All 3 ****** it.
Milner slicing a simple clearance
VVD doing a garbage header
Alisson not throwing himself at it
