If I'd taken up the offer from my bosses mate who has a season ticket then sells of the matches he cant make (works offshore) i could have been. Instead its at home for me at Glebe Park for the match against Stenny

Not many games televised on the Saturday - seems a bit strange to me.

I thought the opening day of the season would have a lot more coverage. Maybe it's normal though and I haven't really paid much attention to it in the past.

Sky Sports will be free on Saturday so you can watch Leeds v Middlesbrough (12:15) and Arsenal c Crystal Palace (17:30).

It's so bloody stupid...

In this day and age of mobile devices, online streaming, sky plus etc. it's completely irrelevant. There's no evidence to suggest showing 3pm games on TV would reduce attendences.

wow, there isn't a carling cup thread so posted in here.

Saw Brentford were 3-1 up against Dag and Red so figured game over as I was watching the chelsea/utd/supercup games........

they won in a penalty shoot out after the game finished 6-6

Was the weirdest game of football I've ever been to. Hopefully never have to witness defending like that ever again!
