Carroll needs to get a haircut, he looks as bad as he plays, woeful, why the hell is he constantly on his arse?

Downing looks like a very productive buy for liverpool, not worth the money they paid, but he'll do a good steady job on the wing and get crosses in.
 
Half time. Decent first half for us, sat back a little too much in the last 5 minutes.


Get Suarez on later in the second half and he's going to run riot with Arsenals defence.
 
So so first half, Aint done badly not but brill either Frimpong should have had two yellows by now but yet he doesnt.

Suarez needs to come on and play all the 2nd half he is the missing piece at the moment i cant see Arsenal coping with him.

Enrique and Kelly been our best players thus far imo
 
Frimpong looking quite impressive in that first half, Nasri looks really up for it as well

Liverpool have zero pace on the counter attack :o

Square passes, no one making runs and the sole purpose of our play seems to be get it to the wings and get crosses in for Carroll. All well and good if he's playing well or if the oppositions defence can't defend them but he's not and they are.

Game's crying out for Suarez. We desperately look like a one man team without him playing tbh.

Enrique and Downing look good but Henderson looks anonymous yet again and Adams only ever looks good when he has time and space. When he's rushed he's abysmal. How Henderson and Adams are ahead of Aquilani and Meireles I've no idea. Actually I do, they're British.

I felt downing has been quite good, certainly our best player in their half of the pitch.
 
A decent strike force could have scored a few goals against us, stick on Suarez for the 2nd half and there's bound to be a goal.

Despite being an idiot, Frimpong has done OK and looks powerful going forwards, Arshavin, RvP and Ramsey have been underwhelming and theo has just been a complete passenger. Vermaelen and Chesney have been our best two players. Jenks and the Ignasi (sp?) have been ok, but weren't really tested.

Stick on someone like Ryo for Arshavin.

After the booking Frimpong has been good, unlucky not to put it in the bottom corner with his strike, Nasri has been playing quite well too, nice to see someone who will try and take it past a man and have a pop at goal. RVP hasn't been in it, Walcott hasn't been in it, Arshavin is giving it away too much, Jenkinson looks a bit nervous too. Verminator has been absolutely epic in defence, had Carroll in his pocket ever since switching to the right sided CB slot, Szczesny has been good too.

If we can play a bit wider, get Walcott putting some crosses in and get RVP and Arshavin actually near the 6 yard box then we have a chance. Wonder what it will be like when Suarez comes on, oh and Downing has been quite solid too.
 
Nasri to City has broken down according to Sky, wouldn't surprise me tbh he doesn't seem keen on joining them and would explain why he's starting today
 
Hoping Suarez and Meireles can be the difference today. Quite an even game, we've had a lot of the ball but not really done anything with it and Arsenal have looked threatening on the break but not to their usual standard.
