Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [17th - 22nd April 2015]

What he was saying is the protest group needing to look for a backer to buy the club. Spot on. When West Ham had the problem with Terry Brown, they went and got a consortium together (fronted by Cottee) but Brown refused to sell, instead, in the typical West Ham fashion, he managed to sell to the only skint billionaire in the world !

Quinn's comments were interesting too. Apart from the Glazers bleeding Man Utd dry, it seems the two clubs with the most discontent with the board in the Prem is Newcastle and West Ham, both with English owners.

Not sure I even know 1% of what's going on at West Ham, but attempting to run a football club as a business will never favour the fans.

Well Gold and Sullivan bailed us out of the crap with the skint Iclandics, but are pretending that its out of the goodness of their hearts. We are still in the same amount of debt but its payable to them rather than the banks. Once we move (which against the wishes of over half the fans) the club will be sold to the highest bidder and they will make a bundle. We will also not own our own ground and playing in an athletics stadium.

For a neutral it was kind of a shame Utd didn't win as it would have made the end of the season and particularly the upcoming Arsenal -v- Chelsea game a lot more interesting i.e. an Arsenal win (prob unlikely but given it's at the Emirates you never know..) would have left it Played 33 Chelsea 73pts Arsenal 69 pts, Utd 68 pts City 64pts. Mind you with Chelsea only having Liverpool at home to play out of the top half of the table and Arsenal & Utd playing each other it's been theirs to lose for a while but you never know :p

Not to be though plus classic Mourinho - team does what it needs to win and that home record is just outstanding, 1 loss in 95 EPL home games I think now?
