Looks like we're going into tomorrow's game with no fully fit CB's. Klavan missed the game in midweek through illness, Klopp confirmed that Lovren wasn't fit and only played because Klavan was out and Gomez is playing RB because Clyne's out and now Klopp's confirmed that Matip's out of the game tomorrow.

I understand Klopp's thinking when it comes to signings and not wanting to sign somebody for the sake of it but given the injury problems that Matip and Lovren have had over the past 18 months it was total madness to go into the season where we'll be playing more games with less CB options than we had last season.

Moreno | Can | Gomez | Milner/Ox perhaps?

You would expect Brighton to sit back and try and hit us on the break and/or play for set pieces so we shouldn't face any problems we don't face with our first choice back line. They might even be more reliable today :o

Is Trent injured? If not put him rb and Gomez at cb with Can.
I don't believe so. Anyway, Lovren will have a load of injections and Klavan's probably over his illness so I imagine we'll be ok for today. Rumours are that Matip could be out for a month - lucky we only have 9 games in December.

How is that not a foul by Morata for that goal? A pen was given similar last week. Bit of consistency please refs.

Thought that myself but only saw one replay.

Could see today being something similar to 3-1 against Hull in 13/14, well except Brighton are actually good and it won't be too surprising.

Klavan not fit enough to start and Gomez is ill too so our back four is Trent, Can, an injured Lovren and Robertson :/

Soccer Saturday seem to think Watford should have had a pen, but instead you countered and equalised... so should it be 2-0?

No doubt about it, awful decision like it was not to punish Morata earlier. The whole "bigger clubs get the decisions argument" is being proved right today.

not a pen for me davies is entitled to do that these days. maybe if the watford player hadn't gone down like he'd been shot...

I started the season worrying about Wijnaldum having to play as a holding midfielder, today he's playing CB :o

Really comfortably performance so far, even at 2-0 down Brighton are happy sitting with 11 men behind the ball and letting us knock it about.
