Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [1st - 4th December 2017]

That red card for Sanchez

Never been a red card for me, he's just trying to hold him off.... turns away before even making contact, it's a foul sure as he catches him but that doesn't look malicious to me.

Very harsh, it's not like he's gone to do him.

What could have been a nervy game ended up being a walk in the park. Ref had a bit of a stinker - their pen was less of a push than the push on Ramsey last weekend and the challenge on Robertson was a shocker which he only gave a yellow for. Disappointed Salah didn't score but a good to see Bobby and Phil scoring a couple each.

Oh and somebody needs to tell Can he's a CB even when he's playing in midfield because that's the first time he's attacked a corner in the whole time he's been with us.

Still in disbelief at that pen and the fact we didn't totally crumble. They seemed quite poor today, much more impressive vs manu

Their tactics in both games seemed to be to sit back and hope for a point - difference was we scored earlier than Utd did. Although they did seem content sitting back when we were 2-0 up too which was odd.

And yea, pleasantly surprised how comfortable we made it after they scored - I don't think Mignolet made a save after they scored.

Another 3 points and more importantly a clean sheet for Everton. Slowly but surely this should build confidence back into the side.

Baptism by fire for Allardyce next week though.
