Thanks for the thread Robbo.

It's going to be a big Saturday for 3rd–6th!

I think Newcastle have been fortunate recently that the teams around us have been dropping points while we've been getting consistent wins. I can't see either of those things carrying on for much longer.

Can Arsenal and Chelsea both lose please? :p

Everyone set to see us seal promotion away at Middlesborough on sky after a really good performance midweek against Peterborough?? Iv got a b'n'b sorted for the furthest away of the season :D

Baines is injured, could be out for the rest of the season. Never fear though, Neville is going to have Valencia is his pocket!! :o

Tbf Baines has never been able to handle Valencia either :p

Azza you might be able to answer this do you know how many goals Young has scored against Everton? I remember a game at your place when he scored twice in a 2-3 does he have any others apart from those two?

I reckon we'll play the same team that started against Villa, Nani made an impact off the bench that game so I'd start him there again with Young in the starting lineup. Hoping agent Gibson will fulfil his assignment ;)

Wonder if there is a bookies special on Young winning a penalty and Young being denied a real penalty, both could be likely :p

Really hoping for 3 point away at Brighton, but I think thats wishful thinking. With Steven Caldwell out for the rest of the season with a groin injury having a decent team for the playoff looks miles off. Our players are dropping like flies and I got an uncomfortable feeling we won't perform in the playoffs.

Meh another 3 pts dropped when we play Chelsea, i know its at home but after our shambolic defeat to Wigan i can see Chelsea beating us and therefore 3rd place becomes less and less likely ours especially if Spurs and Newcastle win.

Losing to Wigan earlier this week is going come and bite our arses very hard i feel....it was 3 pts we could neither afford to drop.

Plus Chelsea are riding high after beating Barca 1-0 last night so thats my prediction for our game.

Arteta is a big loss

Yep having him out for the rest of the season is not going to help our cause much...brilliant timing though i have to admit, just as we are making 3rd ours...we go and lose a very important player next to RVP for the rest of the season.

Massive game for Boro. Some fan I am betting against my team as I can't see anything other than a Southampton win.

It's huge for us too, a win seals automatic and keeps the pressure on Reading for the title (we have Coventry on the last day which is a lot simpler than their trip to Birmingham)

Wednesday need to win, for two reasons, firstly to keep pressure on the other team who happen to be above us, and to have plenty of form and momentum going in to the play offs :)
