Haven't seen the Allen one but the tackle on Sterling, he got all of the ball, the follow through got him but it was low and fair. Getting the ball isn't all important if the tackle is reckless and the follow through catches a player dangerously, but a slide tackle that takes all of the ball miles away from the player that isn't dangerous or reckless, not even close to a penalty.

Kicked THE BALL miles away from the player. Sterling was at the time he went down facing the goal and attempting to change direction to his right. Fonte kicked the ball way WAY off to his left, it wasn't describable and still in control of Sterling.

You get an issue where someone slides in but gets weak contact and it's only a yard or two away and the player who you tackled can still get to the ball... if you take the player down in that situation with a follow through it can still be given as a foul or penalty because you've with the follow through prevented the player continuing an attack. The ball was knocked significantly behind Sterling, more than enough to be unable to continue the attack had the follow through of the tackle not taken him down.
 
Do Liverpool supporters think that Ibe's good enough to be in the starting 11 for Liverpool then? After struggling to cement a starting 11 side in Derby originally, he's been appearing in Liverpools roster a fair amount?

I don't think you can judge a player based on where he played previously. Currently he's playing well, that's all that matters. When Sturridge is match sharp again, I expect Sterling to go right and Ibe to drop out, but he's been good so far.

Yet I did say it originally and you didn't seem to understand it.
 
Could he take half of the ball away from the player?

No you're implying he won the ball when it was 'miles' from sterling
 
Need to change the system, we can't play 3 at the back with these players. Lovren isn't a wide cb and Can doesn't look comfortable on the left.
