Palace go above Newcastle.... though the penalty was rather BS. Still their improvement and just being competitive away from home is pretty remarkable. 3 points off West Ham in 10th place.
Newcastle had a lot of the ball but really got in so few positions to score. They got it down the wings but had players who struggled to do anything with it. Ameobi standing on the wing with the ball 18-20 yards from the corner post and just completely devoid of ideas or ability to get the ball into the box.
Arsenal, the number of games we've got a lucky goal or two then proceeded to play utterly dire football is embarrassing this year. First half of the season we had a lot of goals from Sanchez, several from freekicks, a lot of those from dives, then we'd just play crap for 40-60mins and get lucky to come out with a win. Number of times we've put in a great 90 min performance is... less than a handful I'd say. Games like today against teams like Newcastle a 2-0 lead should have gone on to be 4 or 5 goals to the good by the end but we shut down and played woefully... again.
