Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [21st - 25th November 2014]

As a defender you have to be retarded to stick out a leg in that position, if the ball is going the opposite side and you're kicking out away from goal that is one thing, but without knowing who is around you or being able to see what is going on with other defenders, there is only so many directions you will deflect the ball sticking out a leg towards your own goal, it's just something you don't do in general.

That we are in the situation where we choose between Gibbs or Monreal at left back is a joke. Gibbs hasn't at any time at Arsenal shown a hint of talent defensively, after 2-3 years as a youngster he should have been shoved out the door, instead we give him pay rises and new contracts. He can't god damned defend, at all.

Dominate is a strong word. It applied for the first 20 mins. After that I'd say arsenal have only had an edge, it's hardly been dominating. The stats would suggest otherwise though, something like 10-1 shots on target, but still, I think both teams have been dire. Poor game so far.

This has been a pretty bog standard Arsenal performance, lots of possession, no cutting edge, severe lack of quality, Ramsey shooting outside the box, Sanchez running around like a headless chicken, Welbeck trying a back heel then Gibbs screwing us over completely.

OX being crap again, on the break with 58 passes on he instead "beats" about 3 players running sideways then loses the ball. Wenger has put together a team of hard working idiot midgets. Been dire all season, loads of possession, little quality, not beaten a team above 15th, played rubbish in almost all our games, one convincing win was against a team who were ill sick.
