Not having that. They were nothing more than pre-season games and the majority of their squad weren't at th WC. They shouldn't be any more tired than most other sides. Had they qualified and been playing twice a week then maybe you'd have a point.
 
Isn't it just the case that they massively overachieved last season and are now roughly where you would expect them to be given their players and budget?

Yeah, you’ve got a good point there.

Look at the season Leicester had after winning the title. It happens nearly every season. One team in particular will over achieve then back to reality the following season.

I agree to an extent. Given the budget they have they shouldn't have achieved what they did last season but despite their budget they put together a very well organised and difficult to beat side. They're now a shambles of a side, conceding the 2nd most goals in the League.
