Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [23rd February - 1st March 2018]

If United lose today it's going to rock the boat somewhat. Top 4 finish will be in danger, if it isn't already.

Agreed it is a must win for us. Still have to play city and arsenal as well. If we win today everything will be a lot better. Only problem is we are playing abysmal.

Man Utd: De Gea, Valencia, Lindelof, Smalling, Young, Pogba, Matic, McTominay, Martial, Alexis, Lukaku
Subs: Pereira, Bailly, Mata, Lingard, Carrick, Rashford, Shaw

Chelsea: Courtois, Rudiger, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Moses, Alonso, Drinkwater, Kante, Willian, Hazard, Morata
Subs: Caballero, Fabregas, Pedro, Giroud, Zappacosta, Cahill, Emerson

Need huge performances from our 'star' players today, another rubbish pedestrian performance and we might as well give up.

I think Hazard/Willian will be right up for it and we'll struggle. Lindelof :(

To be honest, for the rest of the season, we just need to grind it out. Ideally good performances would be preferred but the points are too critical now, we just need the points.

Yep, fully expecting them to do us over, could well be another embarrassment...

I think it has Henry the other week that was talking about keeper contact. Basically he said that when he first came to premier league if you took a heavy touch that you couldn't reach or one that was going way wide of goal it just wouldn't be given as a penalty.

I'd like to see a return of this. If a player sprints to get a touch and then spanners the ball of the pitch who cares if he gets tripped? Unless it's a small touch where they could round the keeper it shouldn't be given.

Now players just kick the ball anywhere and dive into a keeper creating any contact. Ali's dive a few months back ago for example. That balls going away from goal to nobody, just fishing for a penalty. Even if they keeper had made contact and Ali didn't dive its still not worthy of a penalty.

This has been a painful game to watch. Gutted we couldn't hold on for five more minutes :(

Palace deserve to lose though - We've been awful

I agree with that - the game should aim for that but recent past has not reflected this.

Game needs consistency.
