Seems pointless or as if Levy is forcing Real to stump up the cash in one go.

Much ado about nothing then really, he's not going to confirm or deny it, he's been asked a question and he's answered it with a cryptic politician answer.

Valencia is a shell of his former self; he was always limited but he used to at least beat the fullback, get to the by-line and put a half decent cross in - now he just looks confused. I thought we missed Rafael’s endeavour and craft tonight, I want to love Phil Jones but he clearly is not a full back although he "does a job".

Middle of the park I thought we held our own. Cleverly played better than I expected and we were never overrun, but perhaps that was more down to Chelsea's conservatism as opposed to any great play on Utd's behalf. I am disappointed that Kagawa didn't get 20 minutes - I really hope Moyes gives him a run of games but I fear he feels he is too lightweight.

If we keep Vidic and Ferdinand fit for most of the season we will have a great shout in all competitions, only a fool really believes Utd were and are finished, but we still lack something and it would give everyone a raise if we managed to get a marquee name.
 
I'd say it's United due to the way Moyes was in his interview about Bale, he didn't say Bale's a RM player, he said owners are behind him to buy any player and they're always in for the best players.

United is the only English team Bale would go to due to his admiration of Giggs and Giggs wanting Bale to join United.

Im not sure who that match suited more last night.

Obviously its a good away point for Chelsea, even though its two less than they got last season at OT.

Utd beat Fulham 3-0 last season in their first home game after losing to Everton, so Utd are a point up this season at the same stage ( or if you count specific matches , 3 points up - although the Chelsea game was a dead rubber after the EPL was already won)

Pretty dreadful game by all accounts, a few minutes of excitement in each half but most was tedious. Im pretty certain the next game will be anything but (against the "old" enemy) :D
 
Thing is rooney could have setuo rvp twice inthe second half later on but went for the 40 yard drive instead. I think rvp and him aren't getting 9n very well together and don't appreciate when the other one shoots when they feel they could have passed.
