I'd completely forgotten about it but I presume Hill played in the second leg of the last game(I didn't see it) and the FA did nothing to punish that despicable elbow to the back of the guys head? he should be on a three game ban for that.
It was about denying a goal scoring opportunity, not being the last man.
Yes, but if there was a defender covering it wouldn't have been a goalscoring opportunity in the same way...
There can be a covering defender and it still be denying a goal scoring opportunity.
Outside the box though you'd usually check if there's a covering defender, as the ref did. Makes a difference.
