Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [25th - 27th Feb 2012]

Isn't COYS the abbreviation of one of the songs the Spurs fans sing, rather than a nickname of the club? Because if so, you can't put a song back down to earth..

Man United relying on the old guard of Scholes and Giggs to see them past the Canaries, unlucky but it definitely shows that a squad full of "cheap" players with good team spirit under the leadership of a brilliant manager can really compete against an overpriced team with poor team spirit...

overconfident for sure, but one thing you can't level at Utd is poor team spirit

Didn't see the United game but huge 3 points at a very tough place to go, very pleasing to hear De Gea had a MOTM game and how good are Scholes and Giggs to still be doing it at their age. In fact since he's returned Scholes has been one of the best central midfielders in the league. I asked this before but I wonder if a certain someone still thinks bring Henry back was better business than bringing Scholes back? He's probably too busy thinking what could have been with N'Zogbia :o

NLD was crazy, Arsenal were very good though both Spurs goals were harsh on them tbh. That's what's currently separating Spurs and the top sides, when the top sides play badly but get a 2-0 lead they hold onto it they don't go an lose 5 goals afterwards. Could be a big bonus for us Spurs not having Parker in midfield against us next weekend.

lol wut? :o

Nice to see not many spurs fans here are gloating annoying fans. so i wont go down the childish route and laugh at them

I'm just going down the list of all my friends on FB boasting about when Spurs were 2-0 up :D
Great win for Arsenal today! As long as we can keep the points coming and hopefully we can scrape into the Champs league.

Wish we were underdogs this is horrible.

Can't decide which pre match to watch, not listening to that **** Mowbray commentate though.

Scholes very nearly handed them the equaliser just before they scored by passing it under no pressure to their attacker :p Thankfully De Gea saved his blushes.

scholes has done that a few times recently, including against City and Ajax, he has been brilliant but on occassion its been painful to watch

Am I the only one that thought Monkeymutt was talking about us vs City with that overpriced vs good team spirit

I'd certainly like to believe you're correct. No one could ever question the team spirit of United under Fergie for the past 25 years
