Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [26 - 27th October 2013]

Says what exactly? That he's not willing to bankroll the club, that you're not going to be competing for the title any time soon, what does it say?

You think the couple mil of "free" advertising is so profitable that it ignores the 250+mil he put in to the club to save it from bankruptcy? There is nothing like spending quarter of a billion to save a club just for it's fans to then hate you for not spending way beyond the means of the club.

If Sportsdirect get free advertising at Newcastle for the rest of his life it won't pay back the value he's put in to the club to save it.

Bull he's making a healthy profit each year.

It's easy for you when you have loads of cash to cast aspersions saying we should be grateful but that's bull. Why should we just sit back and accept mediocrity? Arsenal fans might have settled for that but I would like to at least try.

Aye, such ambition. Signing players and a competent manger is all I ask for. Hilarious irony from an Arsenal fan. I'll be sure to tell my grandkids about that time Mike Ashley put some money into the club that got us nothing but mediocrity.

He's making a "healthy" profit each year even though the end of last season was the first time you turned a profit in years, and it was 1.7million( i don't know why that number stands out, upon checking it was 1.4m with 10mil predicted as profit for last season... that is before you bought 5 players in Jan). Sure, he's making a mint, that 250mil will be paid back what, in a couple of years at that rate.

Loads of cash, casting aspersions, no your club was on the brink of financial ruin only a few years ago, but for the man spending quarter of a billion to save you and put you out of debt, you'd probably be where Rangers are now, but you get 5th due to a manager and owner and 18 months later constantly berate them for not achieving magic. The 5th was a pure miracle and you're all basing your lofty ideas on the idea that it should be achievable every year.

As for buying players and a competent manager, if Pardew is good or not he's the one who got you 5th and you didn't mind him then, as for players. THe majority of clubs don't buy 5 players in January, expecting a huge transfer window right after it is just retarded, and pretending you haven't signed players because you choose to ignore the January window is just disingenuous. Not least you made one of the best striker buys of the summer.

No one pretends to ignore anything but when you make a promise (5 players if we make Euro, we sign Anita) and you fail to deliver that is both a lack if ambition and liable to **** your fans off.

I (and most other) Newcastle fans have maintains he isn't good enough. He was great when all was going well but the test is when it goes wrong, it's went wrong and Pardew has flopped magnificently. He plays people out of position and cannot adapt, fact as much as you want to dress it up.

It wasn't a buy as well you clueless behave, it was a loan, when we were promised multiple signings.

Go spout your clueless **** elsewhere, the way you go on you sound attached at the hip with Pardew.

Edit: also he knew what he was getting into when he bought the club, no owners make a profit. A few mill a year is gold dust for most owners, especially those with zero desire or ambition.

Please stay 1-1, my score in the predictions league will be astronomical if it does.. and that's not taking into account Swansea or Spurs
