Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [26th February - 3rd March 2016]

No but when we lose to Spurs next week we'll be 6 points behind them and 8 behind Leicester. We won't make that up. Well also probably have City only 1 point behind. It's over for us mate, face it.

Never! Until is mathematically impossible, you gotta keep on believing. We beat Spurs 1st time round, if we beat them again and Leicester draw, we're 3 points behind.

Great to see The Under 21's put Arsenal Bridesmaids to the sword today. How has Theo Walcott stole a living as a footballer for so long. Consistently brainless as a footballer.

I can't even remember him having a touch.

Souness is pretty much spot on, Arsenal are a joke. They should have comfortably beaten us, I think it boils down to Wenger, they bottle it over and over again. They always start well and get the fans excited, but they always finish the same way too.

I thought it was 2-1.

you knocked us out of the cup then pulled some of our stadium apart

title nowhere near nailed on. of course it would've been better had leicester not got a late winner yesterday but it's still wide open imo brilliant season imo

What if we do the double though? Still sack him? :p

Absolutely, if we win it will be a fluke in a year that Utd, Chelsea, City, Pool all sucked. Even in such a year, a probably one in every 20 year event... we still screw up.

Wenger should have gone years ago, he deserved a 3-4 years after the last league win at least because of what he did before, maybe even a couple more than that, but he should have gone 4-5 years ago minimum now. It's the complete and utter lack of willingness to change all the things he gets wrong.

Walcott and Ox are terrible, overpriced, way over paid and both shown time and time again all the weaknesses in their game and very little positive. They are the exact type of players that prevent us winning the league yet Wenger gives them new contracts and more money rather than selling them.

Shocking performance only made worse from how badly the ref attempted to help us. Never seen so many soft freekicks. Sanchez has since the day he joined(and years before that) thrown himself to the floor without a touch to win freekicks but today was embarrassing and everyone was doing it.

Ramsey should have had a red for massively over reacting to a very minor contact that frankly wasn't even a foul. Ref did absolutely everything he could possibly do to help us and we were still dire and lost to a half youth Utd team.

Rashford, Utd only played well in spells, but having an actual striker actually moving in the way a striker should move has made a big difference to Utd. Good finishing and movement from him but simply not being Rooney helped everyone else play better in the past two games.

Oh! here you are...

What amazes me is how good LVG's record is against the so called big teams yet we play so poorly against weaker teams. It's like we can get rid of the guy! :D
