Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [27th - 28th August 2011]

Yes, "Man City" the watchword in developing talent.

Typical United fan.

Other than the two Nevilles, Scholes, Beckham and Giggs 10 - 15 years ago. Who have United actually developed them selves?

Fabio
Rafael
Rooney
Young
De Gea
Jones
Smalling
Anderson
Nani
Hernandez

Off the top of my head are all the 'young' players United have at the moment. They have all been bought for high fees after being developed elsewhere.

Cleverley, Welbeck, and Evans are all playing today...

Clevery and Wellbeck who have about 10 games for united between them?

Are you really championing Johny Evans as a good showing from the united youth development?

Im am not a "typical Utd Fan"

I am well aware of who currently inhabits our first XI. Your arsey nature does you no credit.

How many of those players are better players since they signed for Manchester United?

That is the point.

Yes, we spend money but we develop players. We take a young player and make him a good player. We take a good player and make him a great player.

Man City take a great player and pay him enough to continue to be a great player in a different place.

Anyone can achieve anything with enough money - what does it prove?

But based on what I've seen, both for United and for their previous loan clubs, they can be excellent players whether they stay at United or go elsewhere. Thus making them players that have been developed by United.

Are you really championing Johny Evans as a good showing from the united youth development?

As a Liverpool fan, I wish that United would bring through a lot more players of Evans' quality :p
