I can see why the Barcelona fans got fed up with Song. He isn't worth the money it will cost to keep him.
He's terrible, loads of players turn up and put in a bunch of effort for a bunch of games. So you've got some early season form, and the team itself was in form which always helps anyone play a bit better or worse players blend in.
Thing is most of what he does well is more fluke than talent, as such a bit of luck and things can fall right for you a few times and make you look better than you are. Over the course of a season his luck evens out and the good games are being significantly outweighed by terrible games now.
He's lazy, he's clumsy, he's reckless and he's basically braindead. But, isn't worth the money to keep him doesn't really matter at West Ham unfortunately, otherwise Carroll would never have been signed permanently.
United: De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Evans, Rojo, Blind, Herrera, Young, Di Maria, Rooney, Falcao. Subs: Lindegaard, McNair, Carrick, Fellaini, Mata, Januzaj, Wilson.
Let's hope the team has a better performance today, another chance for Falcao in particular to deliver.
And to think United struggled to get 1-1 yet Palace are 3-0 up
Carroll is a much better player then given credit for. Its just BFS insists on lumping it to him. His fitness record has been a shame.
We never ahd much luck atr the start, we played really well and quickly, but now we are too square and pace.
I think he looks okay with his feet and he is strong in the air, the main issue with Carroll and Nolan is Fat Sam plays as you say, lump ball when they are on the pitch. I think that is the main reason West Ham started the season well, they were almost forced to play proper football from injuries to the Fat Sam lumpball specialists and having new attacking players forced on him by the board.
The main issue is he was injured at Newcastle for a while iirc, he was injured at Liverpool a fair bit, he was injured a fair bit on loan with you guys and he's been injured loads since. 5-10mil and 50k a week, maybe, but 15mil and a huge wage seemed insane.
