Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [28th February - 04 March 2015]

Evans 6 games and Cisse 7. Outstanding work from the FA once again.

I'm truly and utterly baffled, if it is 1 game extra for a past ban then I could understand that but Cisse straight away apologised, Evans, as well as instigating the whole thing the disgusting little **** bag he then lies about it??

He deserves more games than Cisse but no surprise he hasn't got it with the FA involved.

That he denied the charge but he was proven a lieing ****?

Of course I'm not sure how many games Cisse would have got had it been his first offence :) If he's only had one game added on then it's not really fair for someone to admit to an offence.

It's a straight 6 games for spitting, whether you admit or contest the charge. Cisse's had a single game added to his ban as it's his 2nd red card offence this season. It's a standard thing and iinm, if Cisse were to commit a 3rd red card offence (even for something like 2 yellows), he'd get 2 extra games added to his ban.

I'm not sure we can say Evans has been proven to have lied either. As we know the FA only need to find something probable to find you guilty. Whether Evans should have got an extended ban for 'probably' lying, it's a tricky one. It's one thing to charge somebody for probably being guilty but to extend the ban if they contest it would need a greater burden of proof imo.

In the FAs view Evans did spit at Cisse. Its not 100% certain that he did but they decided that it was likely and banned him as a result. Just because Evans maintains that he didn't isn't a reason to make the ban longer.
