Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29th December 2016 - 1st January 2017]

That wasn't a penalty for Boro either. I've seen 5 year olds stay on their feet under harder challenges.

manu disallowed goal, penalty and I don't know what the rule is but that was some form of late foul on martial when he was dead

The high foot on Mkhitaryan with studs showing that wasn't even a foul. There have been a catalogue of quite big errors from Lee Mason today. Hopefully we can hold out for another few minutes.

United win is a fair result, United should have had a pen (the late tackle, not rashford throwing himself to the floor). Boro look like they should have had one as well.

The disallowed goal? I see why it was disallowed from the Masons position, but the linesman should really be able to help out there. I still don't understand why he doesn't just head the ball :D

Not to mention the player stopping Rojo taking the throw and not getting a card. It's another atrocious refereeing performance. Feels like we're seeing a lot of them recently :/

Hard to tell if Valdes knew Mata was offside there, as with every other shot he didn't move an inch.

mourinho is seriously cringeworthy lol

I've already said the disallowed goal was good. Rashford went to ground easy and would have been better of staying up. Martial I honesty can't say as my stream broke but sky said it looked poor.

Feel robbed cause we were winning with 8 mins left. No drama though, our season isn't about winning at Old Trafford.

Hate to say it, but Pogba really starting to show his stuff. Think he was trying to hard at the start of the season, now he's certainly making much more of an impact week in week out.

FT. Good performance and we thoroughly deserved to win, in typical SAF fashion too on his birthday. :p

Another game, another assist for Zlatan, and good to see Martial playing like he should be doing, MOTM easily.

... and breathe.

Rashford went down because the defender has his arms all over him and pushes him to the ground. You can't really argue it's not a penalty, this isn't rugby.

I mean he's gone from average with a flash to decent performances, but nothing that puts him in the top few players in the league, if even midfielders.

I said this at the time, it looked dire from behind

My first thought was ibra was in an offside position when the ball was played to him for the assist. Never saw a replay, was it even close?

Valdes did pretty well in general in the game. Tricked the ref into disallowing a goal, made a few good saves as well.
