Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29th March - 2nd April 2014]

Top of the league and still have to play the other two contenders....so yeah they have a good chance.

Not sure who I would prefer win it now. City buying it, Chelski complaining life is unfair for them or Liverpools dives and cons...

LOL

Purdy as your wife says below...

I know, I'm just living in the moment whilst those around us **** their pants at the thought of us winning it, no point not enjoying this even if we don't win it :D

Comfortable win against a shambles of a side. The only negative is that we weren't as ruthless as we could be because we could have wiped out City's GD advantage in 1 game.

8 wins on the spin and 11 wins & 2 draws in our last 13

Ignoring the obvious Liverpool bias it's fantastic to see Sterling, Henderson, Sturridge and Johnson playing so well leading up the World Cup. Add the Southampton players and the likes of Rooney, Barkley and few others and we've got the players to make one hell of an exciting England team :(

next to no injuries for a very long time and never had the CL to contend with all season.

just not fair :(

Lets see if liverpool can sustain a title defence/compete next season whilst being in the CL.

be grateful liverpool also did not have much injuries this season. Yes Suarez was out for 6 gamaes but arsenal and co have had much worse.

Really?

Was Suarez not out for 5 games, Sturridge injured, Coutinho injured, Gerrard injured, Sakho injured, Lucas injured, Enrique gone all year, Allen injured and Johnson injured.

I must've imagined those injuries.

We've had 3 injuries to players that would be in our first 11 (or were in our first 11) recently and had more than our share of (fairly serious) injuries earlier in the season. Just how good were we to stay in contention despite all that?

And had we been in the CL then we wouldn't have been relying on 14-15 players to challenge for the League.
