Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 5th March 2012]

This is just wrong

Like Liverpool, City produce a lot of chances in every match, but havent been scoring that much recently.

They have had a GD over Utd of around +10 since December (changing slightly every weekend, but it hasnt changed that much for 2 months or more)

I would actually suggest Utd make the most of their chances, and have a better conversion rate - compared to City (from the sheer amount they miss more than anything).

Look at yesterday's result (yes Bolton's gk did very well also) City (only) won against Bolton 2 -0 at the Etihad, they will have MUCH more difficult games coming up before the end of the season

City have been getting the job done with relative ease recently and we have not. Don't forget that Norwich performance last week.

We're not playing well but we've had a fabulous run of results against the top sides. Firmly in the driving seat now I think.

I certainly hope so.

Needs more Berbatov. :(

getting the job done is not "rampant" as your quote just above says - thats all I was commenting on - I never said Utd have been doing anything other than "getting it done" , I would even add "Just" to that, but Utd have also had 4 much more difficult games than City have recently

Fair enough, perhaps rampant was being too complimentary.

De Gea was excellent again today though, he seems to be really on the up now.

I really think it's insulting to Berbatov that Welbeck starts ahead of him. Welbeck is good but I think Berbatov would be far more effective overall in most situations.

He's just simply better, SAF just needs to tell Rooney to stop running to the half way line and let Berbatov handle the link up play.

Welbeck's scored the same amount of goals as Berbatov and only one less than Hernandez and is our joint 3rd highest goal scorer this season. Yes he's played more but then there's a fairly obvious reason as to why that's the case.

It seems Welbeck is going to be the latest target for the hate mob isn't he :o

I don't hate him at all, he's great. He's just not as good as Berbatov. Depending on the game and the system he could be better, but generally I don't think he is.
