Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 7th December 2011]

I'm very happy with the Villa team selection tonight but I can't help seeing it as throwing in the towel and just seeing how that team will get on. I just feel as though if Mcleish thought he could get something from this game that Heskey would be on as well as another 2 defenders. Maybe I'm, just being cynical :p.

Can't help but see it continue.

Next fixtures: Stoke away, Sunderland at home, Chelsea at home, Norwich away, Swansea away.

This season I can't help but keep thinking "Arsenal may be winning but wait till they play someone decent........"

Same goes for Spurs, problem is, there really aren't many decent teams left in the league.

I mentioned last week that Arsenal vs Villa in the Pires/Henry era, there were some cracking games, real quality football from both sides. WHile you'd still put money on Arsenal to win everyone above maybe 12-14th in the table could be very good on their day. Now, honestly every one up to about Liverpool is utter turd.

Norwich have lost 50% more games than they've won now (4 wins, 6 losses) and they are top half.

I'm not knocking Spurs, they've looked very good, I think could genuinely deserve top 3 this season. I can't see many fixtures this year where I expect Spurs to lose to be honest.

I mean that next run of games, even Chelsea don't seem a particularly tough prospect in a home game, and the rest, lol, most have been shocking this season.

Please god let todays performance be an improvement. The last few have been incredibly embarrassing to say the least.

Well done Arsenal for smashing Wigan. :)

Valencia coming on instead of a striker? :/

Welbeck is the striker on the bench, who has hardly any playing time. I can see why Fergie doesn't want to put him on just yet when we have the option of either Young or Nani in behind Rooney.

It's not that hard to think about really is it?
