Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [30th April - 2nd May 2016]

and of course it lets Arsenal a little off the hook also..............but of course that doesnt come in to it at all.............

A 1st title win anywhere is great of course, but surely a win at home infront of as many of your own fans as possible is the best way to savour / share it ?

I think you have forgotten who you are speaking to. We have more hardcore spurs fans that share more love for Arsenal than DM. :p

Really want Newcastle to stay up, like benitez as a manager :)

Looking at the final fixtures it's unlikely Newcastle will stay up. The last few games for them, Sunderland and Norwich are difficult and Newcastle only have 2 games left vs their 3. I doubt the table will change for the bottom 4 from now til the end.

I didn't realise Newcastle had less games, that puts a different spin on things, Norwich currently have 4 including the game about to happen. Newcastle have Villa and Spurs, should be 3 points for them.

Somehow both Sunderland and Norwich finish the season against Everton and Watford, not surprisingly not in the same order.

They've got Villa though as 1 of their last 2 so that should be 3 points. I'd imagine Spurs won't have much to play for on the last day of the season either.

The annoying thing is that now we're actually giving it a good go I'll be really disappointed when we go down.

Not surprised there's so many empty seats at the Emirates, Arsenal are unbelievably frustrating to watch.

Norwich have every player behind the ball, swamping the middle of the pitch, how do Arsenal play? Try and thread it through the middle with impossible passes.

Not to mention Olivier 'offside' Giroud running the line.

Though maybe Leicester will open up their stadium to fans and show the Chelsea game live, that would be cool, still not quite the same as winning during a live game but a good idea.

Not sure that'll happen as cool as it'd be... there's already been some lounges in the stadium opened up and sold out for fans to watch the game in.
