Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [30th April - 2nd May 2016]

Idiot on sky sports news, not quite sure who is phoning in but says Leicester haven't been the best individuals but have been the best team.... Mahrez, Morgan, Kante, Vardy, sure, none of the Leicester players have been the best guys in the league.

None of them have been in those Adidas adverts, so obviously not as good as Rooney :p

Biggest sporting achievement/upset ever?

5000/1 at the start of the season, i'd say so.

Blackburn winning the league was also an upset but they did have a lot of money shoved into them.

Plus we were there or thereabouts for a couple of seasons before that (runners up the season before). Not fighting relegation the season before. Incredible stuff.

Biggest sporting achievement/upset ever?

Football achievement yeah.

Upset seems a strange word as they've been right up there the entire time. Seems a strange word for a league run in general but yeah, it doesn't really matter, if football continues the way it is none of us will forget about the year they won it. (Although maybe I interpret that word wrong)

Lifting trophy saturday evening.

Some great scene from the leicster players there, guess we'll be seeing those scenes for years to come.

Personally think what nott forest did was bigger

Biggest sporting achievement/upset ever?

In all honesty I can't think of one, Button winning with Brawn was pretty huge (amazingly that's when smr became a button fan on here, no button love before that :D) but F1 has so many other outside factors than football. You can't just have the best boots and win!

Buster Douglas was a huge outsider but he didn't have to do that time and time again like Leicester have.

They will lose to Everton now and Martinez can spin it as a positive.

Spurs are an absolute disgrace would have been a travesty if that bunch of dirty fouling scumbags took the league

That's funny because Spurs haven't had a single red card all season and Leicester have had 2 in their last 3 games, with their main player suspended for the last game due to improper conduct...

That's why I don't post much about football because people have short memories and wheel out utter trash.

Anyway well done to Leicester.

Incredible game, Incredible season.

Tottenham totally lost their heads in the 2nd half, really let themselves down, pressure got to them. Well done to Leicester, what an unbelievable achievement!
