Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [30th November - 3rd December 2018]

Edit - I reckon we can get a maximum of another 15 points this year (Southampton, Fulham, Bournemouth, Cardiff & Huddersfield), which would leave us on 36 points. Using my super scientific method, I reckon it will play out something like this (remaining fixtures, likely points):

City - >18 points, 53 points
Liverpool - >15 points, 48 points
Chelsea - >15 points, 43 points
Spurs - >12 points, 42 points
Arsenal - >12 points, 39 points
Everton - >12 points, 34 points

Regarding a top 4 finish (a post I made last weekend). Revising Utd's remaining points as a maximum of 12 points now :p:(:o, 34 total by year's end.

I honestly don't think that can ever be topped. What was turninig into one of the most frustrating derby's I can remember, ended up being the greatest.

Bar Pickford's clanger it was a superb game of football, with opportunities for both teams to bag 2 -3 goals.

The opportunities you were getting was part of my frustrations. One thing we've been this season is really solid and controlled in midfield but it became a ping pong game and not only were we conceding too many chances, we couldn't sustain any pressure in attack either.

That was the best I can remember Everton playing at Anfield in my life time though.

I see a spurs fan has been arrested for throwing a banana skin at Aubameyang.

Can’t believe this **** still goes on.

So as long as the thing thrown has no racial implications you're instead glad because its at a player you don't like?

You post some absolute hypocritical ****

WTF are you talking about? I’m utterly bemused. This makes no sense at all. Can someone translate please.

I’m still none the wiser. I don’t know if it’s in reference to my earlier lighthearted comment about Dele Alli, but that was at a time when I was riled up due to the match situation.

At the end of the day, throwing a banana skin at a black player deserves nothing but condemnation.

You were happy that Alli was hit by something which could potentially have caused injury.

(Obviously banana being thrown is outrageous and the person needs binned, but you're a hypocrit)

If you've forgotten

As I said, it was said in the heat of the moment when tempers were high due to the match. I’m sure we’ve all said or did things in the heat of the moment when it comes to football that do us a disservice. I may be hypocritical, but I guarantee everyone in the world is at some point in their lives.

Throwing anything at a football match towards a player is unacceptable.
