Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [3rd - 5th October 2014]

Score the penalty and just one of those chances from awesome saves and we run out winners. That's despite us being pretty poor and creating little. Which is why for a better side than us you are there for the taking still. After all we are a bottom 4 side currently. That's our form regardless of what happened last year.

As above.

But that's the same for any club? Take away any good saves from Courtois and score any spurned opportunities

Talking about being invisible, after Fellaini came on, did he even get a touch?

Hopefully he gets a move in the NY where he can play for a team wthat suits his style of play and he gets regular game time. He was pretty anon today

So Everton score their chances, yet Utd don't manage to score any of theirs from the 1st half ......

Slightly delusional I feel....

Just a bit.

I thought we were pretty comfortable, despite only being good, rather than great.

Restricting Everton to pretty much no chances except a penalty (which was a reckless lunge), a set piece and a short flurry at the end isn't bad going, even if they have been poor lately as well.

Their goal only came from a well worked set piece, and they catch out all teams sometimes.

What's up with Lukaku though, he was bossed by McNair. :o

Ok so lets not ever discuss the impact of missed chances and world class saves again on the turning of a games result because the other team could have taken their chances too. I didn't say we deserved the win, I said we are a bottom four club and made you look better and as shown still there for the taking. Ignoring the penalty despite being pretty dire we could easily have left with a draw.

Mata imo doesn't track back enough. IS that tactical? Do utd look for him to start the counter attack or something?

He was guilty of that at Chelsea too to be fair.

He has saved a few off the line at Utd (just like Falcao did today) but he just isn't a central midfielder and currently all teams need that work rate, and Utd really miss that when the likes of Herrera are injured)

Pretty impressed by United today. Looked a lot more solid than other games this season. Last 10 minutes was a bit of a mess, but that aside they were the better team.

Di Maria/De Gea/ Falcao will get the plaudits, but I was particularly impressed with Rafael.
