lo, Naugton awful, running the wrong way, trying to step into the opposition half then Kaboul, hmm, Downing may well have dived but still terrible defending.

Got to laugh at Owen who a few minutes earlier was saying "defend on the half way line, Carroll doesn't have the pace to run in behind"... that isn't untrue but there are other players, like Downing and Jarvis who can run in behind.

Kaboul asking for it, if he left a half a yard gap and just kept running he would have gotten in front of Downing and then been able to block.

So many defenders insist on catching then running basically in to the back of the defender, most defenders do it, it's retarded. 99% of the time player with ball is slower than player without. DOwning isn't slow but all 4 gained easily because they weren't running with the ball. Had they run around him rather than through him, simple to defend.

lol, Kane kind of own goal, won't count as one but should.

Spurs need a new back four and back up players for each position as well. All completely terrible.

EDIT:- thought it was kind of on target but easily saved till the header, but it was off target so definitely own goal.

You can't really drill for two awful lapses of judgement. Sherwood is still having trouble getting any kind of balanced system going.

lol, yup, Chelsea will want Paulinho, utterly unable to effect the game, useless in midfield, nothing offensively or defensively and jumps out the way of the ball in the wall. Nothing Lloris could do there really.

Some interesting championship stuff today. Reading losing 2-1 at the moment gives both Brighton and Blackburn a chance. Brighton have a decent chance, just drew level and are in a play off position now. Blackburn need to score 5 more to get in the play offs, I can't see it happening but it's mathematically possible.

Bolton just scored, 1-0 up and Birmingham HAVE to win to stay up and need Doncaster( or possibly Blackbpool?) to lose basically.

lol, as I was typing Reading drew level, Bolton scored, Wigan got one more back and Blackpool went behind :p

It's hard to tell from the angles, Kaboul looks more like a shoulder to shoulder but if someone just flops over then you will fall towards that player. From the tighter shots I really can't see an awful lot of contact, you see his left leg, there is really no contact he just steps moving it through. See that a lot lately where players just stop moving a leg and go down. I think Downing knows he's there, flops over and Kaboul looks like he's barged him but I'm not at all convinced he did. unfortunately from the ref's angle it certainly looks like he did. Kaboul however should have been more careful, no need to get that close when still slightly behind, the outcome was going to be player going down easy and red card.
