Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [4th - 10th May 2017]

Top 4 now gone for me, UTD are annoyingly grinding out ugly wins and we just fail at the same hurdle over and over again, If im right it only goes back in our hands if Arsenal beat UTD later?

Let's not kid ourselves, if we get fourth we'll get dumped out in the qualifiers anyway

******* embarrassing stuff

Liverpool throwing away CL football.

What happened, they were playing really attractive football earlier on in the season?

Heavy Metal Barbie Girl.

Klopp needs his head examined in the summer, his in game management and tactics without a fully fit side to pick from are seriously lacking.

Havent seen any replays - but BBC are suggesting Mignolet handled outside of the box late on? (approx 88th minute or something)

(reminded me of the Lloris incident a few weeks ago - which looked like on the few replays I saw that the edge of the ball was still on/ over the top of the line, but wasnt interested enough to analyse over and over)

Liverpool still have the points on the board, which is a lot easier at this point of the season than games in hand imo

They may have to qualify, but think Liverpool have it nailed on (Utd threw too many points away in the last couple of weeks esp)

Sorry, but thats Klopps fault. Didnt make the changes when he should have. Once again his reluctance to makes changes has cost points. Someone said a few weeks ago on this forum that Klopp wont win anything in English football because he isnt willing to take risks and it really does seem that is the case. He waits FAR too long to make changes and seems to simply think that carrying on doing the same thing which isnt working will eventually work.

It was definitely outside of the box, though its debatable as to whether it was high enough up on the arm to count as a shoulder. 50/50 giveable I'd say

I wondered pre-game whether Klopp would bring Lallana in from the start or not. Over the last few weeks we've been setting up to pinch games and I wondered whether he'd change from that today. Milner puts the pen away and he's justified in that decision but ultimately he got it wrong. Zero creativity in midfield, Coutinho having to drop deep to get on the ball and Origi getting bullied up front. The most disappointing player has to be Wijnaldum though - playing alongside Lucas and Can he's got to be the man that gets on the ball and is the link between midfield and attack but he was non existent, always playing sideways passes.

Its alright saying Liverpool have blown it but at end of the day they still have more points on the board

Id rather have points in the bag then having to win all the next games etc

It didn't change much and wouldn't have been a red so not a big deal

Weird you only pick up on that detp

Wasnt really following the match, just watching the score

As I said a bit later, you have points on the board so even a draw is probably good enough for you right now

Last few times we've played United I've looked at the line-up and thought this is the worst team they've started in ages and that we have to win it, only to be repeatedly let down. I think the same will happen again today.
